GARFIELD’S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE
Garfield gets into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as a pirate and making Odie one of his crewmen in Garfield’s Halloween Adventure. On their journey they end up at a haunted house that’s filled with real pirates back from the grave in search of treasure – now it’s up to pirate Garfield to get himself and first mate Odie out of hot water. This Halloween special airs Saturday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Beginning on Monday, October 4, YTV.com will give viewers the chance to vote for their favourite scary game in the Halloween Game Spook-off. Each week, visitors to the site will be invited to play 16 Halloween-themed games. Users will vote up the games they deem scary enough to move ahead until just two titles are left to battle it out for the Spook-off crown. The winning game will be announced on Friday, October 29.

Complicating matters further is Nucky’s burgeoning relationship with Margaret Shroeder (Kelly Macdonald) a woman in an abusive marriage whom he tries to help.

The series also stars Michael Kenneth Williams (“Omar” from HBO’s The Wire) as Chalky White, leader of the city’s African-American community; Dabney Coleman as Commodore Louis Kaestner, Nucky’s mentor; Paz de la Huerta as Nucky’s girlfriend Lucy; Aleksa Palladino as Angela, Jimmy Darmody’s Bohemian girlfriend and mother of their three-year-old son; Paul Sparks as Mickey Doyle; Anthony Laciura as Eddie Kesler; and Gretchen Mol as Gillian, a local showgirl with whom Nucky shares a long and complicated history.

The 12-part, one-hour drama is created by Terence Winter and premieres with the Martin Scorsese directed first episode. Passing Strange (2009) premieres Saturday, September 11 at 9 p.m. (Day and Date with the U.S.)
In a Sundance Channel world premiere, Spike Lee presents his cinematic version of the Tony Award-winning musical, Passing Strange. Set in the late 1970s, a young black musician (Daniel Breaker) travels on a journey to rebel against his mother and his middle-class upbringing in a church-going, South Central Los Angeles neighbourhood. During his journey, he moves through a number of musical styles from a background of gospel to punk, blues, jazz, and rock.

Man in the Chair (2007) premieres Saturday, September 18 at 9 p.m.
Christopher Plummer stars as Flash, a mean-spirited, Hollywood retiree and the only surviving crew member from Orson Welles’ film Citizen Kane. Flash is approached by a teenage misfit named Cameron (Michael Angarano), who has entered a student film contest. Flash agrees to help Cameron make his film, a project that will change his life.

Afterschool (2008) premieres Saturday, September 25 at 9 p.m.
Robert is a student at an elite East Coast preparatory school whose life is drastically changed when he accidentally films the death of two classmates.  The video footage is used as part of an audio-visual document intended to speed up the campus-wide healing process, but instead it creates an atmosphere of paranoia and unease among students and teachers.

As she works her way through the legal system, she finds out her biological parents are local radio personality Cate Cassidy and thirty-something Nate “Baze” Bazile, who had a one-night stand. Directors Michel Gondry, Joon-ho Bong and Leos Carax combine three short films in Tokyo!. Merde emerges from a manhole and faces arrest, trial and execution. The final film examines the impact human contact has on a hermit after a pizza delivery girl faints at his doorstep during an earthquake.

Tom Welling and Selma Blair star in this remake of the 1980s horror classic, The Fog. Shrouded within a supernatural fog, Antonio Island, Oregon is under attack by mysterious beings that rose from the sea. The targets are descents of the town’s founding fathers that sent a group of men to their watery graves 100 years ago.

The Woods (2006) premieres Saturday, August 28 at 9 p.m.
Agnes Bruckner, Patricia Clarkson and cult icon Bruce Campbell star in this horror film about an all-girls private school located deep in the middle of a forest. El Espiritu de la Salsa

Gasland
