AWARD-WINNING CURIOUSCAST ORIGINAL PODCAST CRIME BEAT LAUNCHES SEASON FOUR TODAY

TORONTO, OCTOBER 19, 2021 – Corus Entertainment’s podcast network Curiouscast announced today that Season 4 of its award-winning original podcast Crime Beat debuts today across platforms. The podcast is led by veteran Global News Crime Reporter Nancy Hixt and has also been adapted for TV, currently airing its third season on Global.
In Crime Beat Season 4, 25-year veteran crime reporter Nancy Hixt takes audiences inside some of the high-profile cases she has worked on that have impacted both sides of the border. This season will welcome new voices in the criminal and justice system including jurors, prosecutors, investigators and victims.
Since its debut in March 2019, the podcast has become one of Canada’s most popular true crime podcasts, with 11 million downloads to date and a growing audience in the US, UK and Australia. The podcast received the prestigious 2020 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best International Podcast and was also nominated for a 2020 People’s Choice Podcast Award.
