TORONTO, March 20, 2024 – Global News and Corus Audio pay tribute to the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, former Prime Minister of Canada. On Saturday, March 23, the network will broadcast the special presentation, Remembering Brian Mulroney, with live television and online coverage of his state funeral. Also, Corus Talk Radio stations across Canada will air Remembering Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney: A Family Tribute, a loving homage to the former Prime Minister produced and hosted by his eldest son, Ben Mulroney.

Dawna Friesen, award-winning Anchor and Executive Editor of the flagship national newscast Global National, will host the live commercial-free special, Remembering Brian Mulroney, from Montreal and will be joined by Senator Pamela Wallin. The broadcast will air 10:30 a.m. ET, 11:30 a.m. AT, 8:30 a.m. MT, and 7:30 a.m. PT. and will conclude as we follow the procession departing Notre-Dame Basilica. Mercedes Stephensen, Eric Sorensen, and Mike Armstrong will also be reporting along the procession route.
Dawna Friesen will anchor Global National from Montreal on March 22 and 23 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, March 23, Talk Show Host Roy Green will provide a complete funeral recap on The Roy Green Show from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, across all Corus AM stations in Canada. The show will be followed by the special program, Remembering Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney: A Family Tribute, hosted by the late Prime Minister’s son, Ben Mulroney. The show will feature special guests including former United States President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, Canadian hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, five-time Grammy award-winner, Michael Bublé and renowned actress and singer, Reba McEntire.
A condensed version of the one-hour special will also air one day prior on Friday, March 22, at 5 p.m. ET., 9 a.m. CT., 2 p.m. MT, and 6 p.m. PT.
