TORONTO, November 8, 2021 – Put away the pumpkins, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays – and HGTV Canada is here to help get viewers into the joyful spirit. With three new festive series and specials, plus fresh new series and new seasons of classic favourites, Canada’s #1 Lifestyle network* will wrap the year in style.
Dave and Jenny Marrs continue to spread cheer in Season 3 of Fixer to Fabulous (6×60) as they help revitalize the small town of Bentonville, Arkansas by updating the area’s historic houses into attractive homes for young buyers. The new season premieres Wednesday, November 17 at 9 p.m., and will feature a mid-season special episode titled Fixer to Fabulous Holiday Surprise on December 22. The one-hour episode follows the Marrs as they gift their local animal shelter with a very special renovation ahead of the busy Christmas pet adoption seasons. After they complete the modern upgrades, including a refreshed exterior and lobby, new dog kennels, a trendy outdoor space and a custom cat playroom, they’ll reopen the purr-fect shelter to the community with a festive, holiday-themed pet adoption event.
Real estate agent and well-known Santa impersonator, Albie Mushaney puts the “ho ho ho” in House Hunters by turning newly purchased dream homes into spectacular holiday wonderlands in House Hunter: Ho Ho Home (5×30), premiering nightly from Tuesday, December 14 – Friday, December 17 at 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Earlier in the night, viewers get a tour of the U.S. President’s House in White House Christmas Special (1×60) on Friday, December 17 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. The following week, David Bromstad, star of My Lottery Dream Home, welcomes family and friends into his home following an astonishing holiday transformation – including 70 decorated indoor trees, dozens of cheerful gnomes, and rustic faux wood beams – in My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Holiday Extravaganza (1×60) on Tuesday, December 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Ken and Anita Corsini from Flip of Flop Atlanta grow their workshop in Flipping Showdown (2×90) (4×60), premiering Sunday, November 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In the new series, the Corsinis invite three talented teams of flippers to Atlanta and provide each of them with an investment property that they must design and renovate in only six months. Ken and Anita will judge each team on budget management, design talent, and the ability to successfully oversee the renovations. The team with the highest score will win $100,000 and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the Corsinis in their company.
Rounding out the year are new episodes of Property Brothers: Forever Home, returning Monday, November 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, as well as the final series episodes of Flip or Flop (3×30), premiering December 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Season 2 of Selling the Big Easy premieres Tuesday, November 16 at 10 and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, while Season 6 of the fan-favourite series Home Town premieres December 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
