Toronto, Canada
– Global is the destination for must-see TV this fall with a star-studded and critically-acclaimed slate of new and returning series featuring compelling dramas, thrilling action, hilarious comedies, and addictive reality series. Anchoring the schedule both in front of and behind the camera are Hollywood heavyweights including the incomparable two-time Emmy® Award winner Dick Wolf (FBI), multi-talented comedian Cedric the Entertainer (The Neighborhood), SNL superstar Amy Poehler (I Feel Bad), renowned actor and funny man Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Together) and fan favourite star Jennifer Love Hewitt (9-1-1).

“Global continues to deliver the right balance of familiar and fresh content appealing to both established audiences and new viewers this fall, from modern and relatable comedies to captivating dramas and everything in between,” said Maria Hale, Senior Vice President, Global Entertainment & Content Acquisition, Corus Entertainment. “With smart scheduling, a diverse lineup, and a multi-faceted list of talent, Global has the right momentum all week long.”

Featuring 17 hours of simulcast, the fall premiere season heats up with last winter’s break-out hit series 9-1-1 kicking off with a two-night event for the Season 2 debut on Sunday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Monday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The high-pressure sophomore season welcomes new team members Jennifer Love Hewitt (Criminal Minds) as Maddie, sister of Evan Buckley (Oliver Stark), who is starting her life over as a 911 operator, and Ryan Guzman (Heroes Reborn) playing a firefighter led by team captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause).

Then, on Tuesday, September 25, two highly-anticipated, buzzworthy new series join Global’s primetime schedule delivering fast-paced action and heartfelt drama. Debuting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, FBI is the latest series from Emmy® Award-winner Dick Wolf, which stars Canadian Missy Peregrym as well as new addition Sela Ward (House), and follows the inner workings of the FBI in New York. Then, one of the most anticipated new dramas this season – New Amsterdamjoins the lineup at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist) and Canadian Tyler Labine (Deadbeat), this series follows a team of doctors on a mission to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded, and underappreciated New Amsterdam hospital.

Global’s new series premieres continue the following week with a fresh comedy block on Monday nights beginning October 1 with the debut of The Neighborhood at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Happy Together at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Cedric the Entertainer as opinionated Calvin, The Neighborhood welcomes Max Greenfield (New Girl) and Beth Behrs (2 Broke Girls) as the new neighbours in a town where not everyone looks like them. Then, viewers can catch another dose of laughter with Happy Together, starring talented comedic actor Damon Wayans Jr. along with Amber Stevens West as an ordinary suburban couple whose life quickly turns extraordinarily upside down when a new houseguest moves in.

The laughter carries on to Thursday night’s comedy block with the return of New York’s fab foursome and Top 10 hit Will & Grace,* premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT on October 4. With an 18-episode order, the new season continues to dive deeper into the personal lives of Will, Grace, Jack, and Karen. Then, joining Global’s Thursday night comedy block is I Feel Bad, in a special preview on Wednesday, September 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT before it moves to Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on October 4. Executive produced by the multi-talented Amy Poehler, the hilarious and relatable single-cam series follows mom Emet (Sarayu Blue) trying to navigate life while being perfectly OK with being imperfect.

Rounding out the new series joining Global’s fall schedule is a fresh spin on a family-favourite, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, kicking off with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle) and Jordan Fisher (Liv and Maddie), the child star dancers will have to prove themselves to the panel of judges including American figure skater Adam Rippon, choreographer Mandy Moore, and professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Additional casting information will be announced later this fall.

In addition to the slate of new series, Global’s hottest hits are back this fall including Top 10 series Bull*, which moves to Mondays beginning September 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Later that week, #1 reality series Survivor* premieres Wednesday, September 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, while the following Wednesday, Top 20 series SEAL Team* joins the lineup October 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Last, but certainly not least, Global’s late-night comedy returns with some of the wittiest comedians and talented musical performances during the premiere of Canada’s #1 late-night show* Saturday Night Live later this fall. In the meantime, audiences can catch some of the hottest stars, talented performers, and brilliant minds during new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airing weeknights at 11:35 p.m. beginning Tuesday, September 4.

Also this fall, Canada’s entertainment powerhouse, ET Canada, returns with a new season on Tuesday, September 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT featuring timely coverage of the hottest red carpets, special events, and celebrity exclusives.
